On the way to an interactive archive

Wannes Deneer’s sound designs are often built around self-made instruments. What started as a collection of seemingly worthless objects has evolved into a carefully organized archive, which he plans to present alongside the sounds these objects create. The sound itself imbues the objects with value.

During his residency at Walpurgis, Wannes Deneer aims to explore how audiences can engage with and play this archive themselves.
