Advanced pupils can follow classes ad hoc.

Changing deeply rooted habits needs time, patience and determination. Not only the amount of lessons, but also the frequency and continuity play an important part.
The number of lessons you need depends on several factors and is different from person to person. Usually, a series of 10 lessons is needed to initiate the first changes on a neuro-muscular level. Minimum 20 to 30 lessons are needed to be able to continue your development process without an AT teacher, and to integrate the basic principles of the Alexander Technique into your daily activities, both on stage or working floor as in your private life.
