Max T.

A recycled opera for young spectators of 12 years and older

Not in, not happy, never too much, never too good, Never enough. Nobody can stop them, nobody tells them anything new. Except Max T. – Mister cool – perhaps. Revellers, rakes of today. We snare them in their stolen stories, their sampled stories.

In good old recycling tradition, the classic characters from the Rake’s Progress(Stravinsky), Faust (Goethe, Gounod, Schubert, Schnittke, Berlioz) and Peer Gynt (Ibsen, Grieg, Schnittke) as well as their words, walks and songs – confronted with elements from the news – are cut up, reused, recycled and welded together. Texts, songs and sounds from our daily lives are used for the recycled opera Max T.
