“Here we are, I would say, welcome at Agfa – Gevaert 5, really. How does everything start at Agfa? One of the main benefits is that we create an immense amount of added value. We are more expensive than paper, but we are an untapped market and thus we can earn a good living. And we also make our own cold water, so in that sense we are self-sustainable. It is finding a balance between cultivating a lot and withering away. And now we are at a point, that the waste is actually waste of waste of waste. That waste is for us pure energy. Yes, Gevaert is more than 150 years old. How does everything start here at Agfa?”
We work to be seen, we are seen in our work. Teletext and WALPURGIS research the boundaries of the labour song in their new music-theatre performance ik werk zo geire (I love to work). This fall they show a work in progress at the ARTICULATE festival in deSingel.
This performance originates from a two-year artistic research project at the Royal conservatoire of Antwerp.
