HYOID is a Brussels vocal ensemble of classically trained singers, specialized in contemporary music. During their residency at deFENIKS, in 2017, they collaborated with Irish composer Jennifer Walshe on A History of the Voice (Self-Care II). After a show at the FENIKS FESTIVAL, Hyoid premiered this music theater performance at the Transit Festival in Leuven. Hyoid will be a guest at deFENIKS again in 2020. This time in the company of performance artist Myriam Van Imschoot.
