WHAT ARE THE RATES FOR THE USE OF YOU WILL?
You can find all rates here. All rates depend on the number of days and / or half-days that you want to rent the room. With the exception of the theater space (21% VAT), all theaters are exempt from VAT.

The rates are reviewed quarterly and can therefore change over time. Associations and non-profit organizations can request a tailor-made offer via info@walpurgis.be. The more detailed your request, the faster we can help you.

 

DO YOU RENT THE ROOMS FOR PARTIES OR PRIVATE EVENTS?

Since we are a cultural house and like to keep our spaces free for cultural matters, we no longer rent out our rooms for parties since March 2019.

 

DO YOU PROVIDE CATERING AND / OR DRINK?

All catering and drinks can be provided by yourself. If desired, we can refer you to local dealers, with whom we sometimes work together for events. Request more information for this at info@walpurgis.be.

 

CAN I USE THE KITCHEN IN THE FOYER AS A TENANT?

All tenants have the right to use the kitchen and kitchen equipment. Own drinks, such as coffee and tea, are always asked to bring your own. If the foyer is rented out separately on the day you rent from us, we ask you to take this into account as much as possible and to keep the space as free as possible.

 

TILL HOW LATE CAN MUSIC BE PLAYED?

Our building is not completely soundproof and is located in a residential area. To enable a pleasant cooperation with our neighbors, we ask to always make it completely quiet from 10 pm and to take the other tenants into account.

 

CAN I RENT THE FOYER FOR OWN SALE OF BEVERAGES?

You can always rent the foyer separately at another room. For this we ask an additional cost of € 100 / daypart and € 60 / extra daypart. When you rent the foyer, you can use the bar, where you can sell your own drinks. Beverage and extra fridges are to be provided. On request we can provide extra glasses / bags / plates / cutlery for you. Be sure to ask about this when making your reservation. (!) Attention: we only have a small refrigerator for tenants and an extra refrigerator in our hallway. So if you want to keep a lot of drinks and / or food cold, we ask you to provide an extra refrigerator yourself.

 

WHAT MATERIAL IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

On request, we rent out additional technical equipment (sound systems, theater lights, beamers, …). Unless you are an artistic resident at WALPURGIS, we charge a small additional charge for this. We also have a lot of other equipment in stock (yoga mats, massage table, …). Ask about this with your reservation via info@walpurgis.be.

 

CAN I USE A WALPURGIS TECHNICIAN FOR MY PRESENTATION?

We are a small team and do not have a technician who can be engaged for tenants’ technology. If necessary, we kindly ask you to provide your own technical team. The technical data sheet of our theater space can be found here.

 

CAN I USE deFENIKS PARKING?

As far as our parking is concerned, we have a first come, first serve policy.

 

IS IT POSSIBLE TO RESERVE A PARKING SPACE?

We only reserve parking spaces from WALPURGIS. We only make an exception for people with a disability, and this on presentation of a parking card for people with a disability.

 

IS THERE FREE WIFI?

In deFENIKS you can use free WiFi. You can find the code on the magnetic board in the foyer.

 

CAN I TAKE AN OPTION?

You can take an option, which must be confirmed at least 4 weeks in advance. Time span is likely to be revised.

 

CAN I CANCEL A CONFIRMED DATES?

That is possible, but you should take into account the cancellation conditions.

IS DEFENIKS EASY TO REACH?

by bike
Follow the bicycle highway past Berchem station (12 min) to station Mortsel-Deurnesteenweg and turn right into Deurnestraat or take the Grote Steenweg / Antwerpsesteenweg on the Singel / St Willebrorduskerk until just past Agfa Gevaert (15 min.).

 

by tram or bus
Trams and buses stop around the corner. For the timetable you can visit the website of De Lijn

by car
Since the number of parking spaces in the area is very limited, we strongly advise everyone to come by bicycle or public transport. This also to avoid inconvenience to our neighbors.

All information about parking options in the area can be found on the website of the city of Mortsel. We also have a Partago shared car in our car park. Make sure to use this!

 

 

WHAT CAN I ORGANIZE IN YOUR BUILDING?

(Music) theater performances, concerts, workshops, meetings, recordings, studios, practical moments, lectures, … Be sure to send your question to info@walpurgis.be.

 

CAN I USE THE GARDEN, THAT IS ADDENDED TO THE GARDEN HALL?

In the spring and summer it is pleasant to stay in our garden. However, the garden is adjacent to other areas, where therapy and workshops are given. Therefore, always request the use first via info@walpurgis.be.
